Nexus Aequalitatis respects your privacy. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use nexusaequalitatis.com, subscribe to the newsletter, or interact with social-media features connected to the website.

1. Information we may process

We may process information that you choose to provide, including your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. Administrative users of the website may also have account information required to access the private publishing area.

2. Newsletter

Newsletter subscriptions are handled through Brevo. Your email address is used to send Nexus Aequalitatis newsletters and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.

3. Social media integrations

The website may display or link to public content from official Nexus Aequalitatis accounts on services such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Where an official API connection requires authorization, access is used only for the functions needed to retrieve and display the relevant public Nexus Aequalitatis content.

4. Cookies, article views, analytics and technical data

Strictly necessary storage is used for security, administrative sessions and to remember choices you explicitly make. Separately, the website keeps a basic aggregate count of article openings. That counter stores only the article ID, an hourly time bucket and the number of openings; it does not use cookies/localStorage and does not store a browser/session identifier, raw IP address, user-agent, location or fingerprint. Optional first-party analytics are disabled until you consent. When enabled, the server may temporarily process the request IP address and browser user-agent to create a one-way pseudonymous HMAC used for approximate unique-visitor counts; the raw IP address and user-agent are not stored in the analytics tables. Where available, a coarse country and region may also be recorded. The optional analytics layer may also record site page views, aggregate interactions such as search terms entered on the public site, clicks on support-resource links or site sections, and browser performance measurements such as LCP, INP, CLS and FCP. Search terms are automatically limited and common email-address or long-number patterns are redacted; visitors should still avoid entering personal or sensitive information into the site search. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected by the optional analytics layer. External embeds such as YouTube, Vimeo, X/Twitter or third-party forms are not loaded automatically unless you enable external content or explicitly ask to load a specific item.

5. Service providers

We may use third-party service providers for website hosting, newsletter delivery and social-media integrations. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy obligations.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. First-party analytics records are automatically limited to a maximum retention period of approximately 18 months. Private internal admin messages are automatically deleted after 30 days. Newsletter subscribers can withdraw consent by unsubscribing.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing of your personal data. You may contact us to make a privacy request.
